Bodley, Harry passed Sunday, October 14, 2018 Age 67 years. Funeral Service on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 6:00 PM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 745 Ezzard Charles Dr.. Visitation Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at St Joseph Catholic Church. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery, 701 Ross Ave Cincinnati, Oh. Saturday October 27, 2018.Special online condolences for family and friends may be expressed at HARRY BODLEY JR. was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 21, 1951 to the late Wilhelmena Mary Haywood Drake of Kansas City, Missouri and Harry Bodley Sr., who is residing in Cincinnati, Ohio. Harry passed away on Friday, October 14, 2018. Age 67 years. Visitation on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 5:00 PM, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 6:00 PM. All services to be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 745 Ezzard Charles Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203. Internment on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery,701 East Ross Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45217 at 10:00 AM. JC Battle & Sons are handling the arrangements. Special online condolences for family and friends may be expressed at Harry was baptized at an early age at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Wendell Phillips Elementary School and Lincoln High School in Kansas City. He later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio when he was a teenager to live with his father, Harry Bodley Sr. Harry enjoyed spending time with his father. He completed his high school years at Cincinnatis Woodward High School. Upon graduation he attended Ohio State University and was on the Deans List for 3 years while there. After college he had worked many jobs including the Cincinnati Post Office; Come Back Inn and Liberty Lounge which was owned by his father, Harry Bodley, Sr., Harry loved spending time with his father and he loved family. He and Shelia Simpson had a son named Kenyon. He was loved by many people both here in Cincinnati and Kansas City. He loved Karate; playing chess; cooking; reading; roller skating and travelling. Harry resided at the Judson Care Center for many years and was under the care of Queen City Hospice & Palliative Care at the time of his death. Harry was preceded in death by his mother, Wilhelmena Mary Haywood Drake; step father Donald Drake; grandmother Momma Albright; grandmother Mary Haywood; brothers Donald and Michael. He is survived by his father Harry Bodley, Sr.; son Kenyon Bodley; granddaughter Khamya Bodley; sisters Janice Drake and Jasmine Drake of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces Janese Drake and Janae Drake; nephew Ja-Thaniel Odum; six great nieces including his special great niece Aniya Drake; and four great nephews all of Kansas City, Missouri; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
